In my search for something new and affordable this year I came across this company called Canary . The first thing that caught my eye was the name.  At first, I was like, huh?  I got curious about why they chose that name. So this is a special segment. I normally shy away from sharing too much personal information. But I feel this product is so worth sharing. I am sure many of you out there are familiar with the Squatty Potty . Well I have to say I have succumbed to the fascination of the Squatty Potty , with great satisfaction!  I am so glad I made this purchase. It was totally worth it. I have been using it for a couple of years now and the Squatty Potty is still going strong! Even my husband loves it. Though times have been challenging, some things still remain the same, and I'm really grateful for that! I have always been a big animal lover. I grew up with dogs, birds, turtles, and an iguana. I never had a cat growing up because my dad didn't like them.  Later in time I found out he had a bad experience as a child with a cat. He tried to play with the cat like it was a dog and things didn't go well (the cat attacked him). Ever since I can remember we were not allowed to bring a cat home. When thinking about how to write this review, I came across this article called "The California Gold Rush,1849. I found the article so appropriate to what I am about to share with you. Given I have been out of school for a while, this was a nice history refresher course for me.  It reminded me about the skepticism that took place in the year of 1849.  It took one proactive entrepreneur, I guess you can say, named Sam Brannan, a storekeeper in Sutter's Creek to light a fire and announce to the world back then, about the discovery of gold. Of course the whole history of the Gold Rush of California is not painted in a favorable light. But the fact that this man felt the need to share this discovery with everyone really helped me to see how excited he was about it. There has been a big craze about downsizing the items in your home and finding "joy" in the things you own. I for one feel when you develop a simple living mindset (SLM) it will help you to maintain a simple home. When we create a habit to live simply it starts to become automatic, at least for me. I have now fallen into the routine of analyzing everything I bring into my home. The SLM also helps me to determine what I should keep and what I should get rid of. Someone asked me the other day..."Don't you regret when you let go of something? I am sure we have all been there before. When we are asked to smile for the camera and we might be self conscious about our teeth. I know for myself, I'm always concerned about the health and appearance of my teeth. I think that comes from my mom. She was a stickler about us getting our dental check ups every 6 months. Now that I'm older I am grateful she managed our dental care the way she did. She instilled in us the fear of us losing our teeth if we didn't brush. Those were different times back then (yikes! lol).  Because of her I try to maintain my teeth the best I can and keep them looking natural, healthy, and not extremely white (that's just weird).
