I am sure we have all been there before. When we are asked to smile for the camera and we might be self conscious about our teeth. I know for myself, I'm always concerned about the health and appearance of my teeth. I think that comes from my mom. She was a stickler about us getting our dental check ups every 6 months. Now that I'm older I am grateful she managed our dental care the way she did. She instilled in us the fear of us losing our teeth if we didn't brush. Those were different times back then (yikes! lol). Because of her I try to maintain my teeth the best I can and keep them looking natural, healthy, and not extremely white (that's just weird).
Seriously though, you have to wonder about all the chemicals in all those products out there and how expensive it can get, especially if you are daily maintaining your teeth! It can really add up. I for one hate going to the dentist. I'm so glad up until this day I haven't come across any major issues with my teeth. But the one thing I am prone to is cavities. I feel its such a common problem and it can be a real money maker for dentists. After much research I read about how cavities are caused and it helped me to see that you can personally maintain your teeth with the right products and diet. In no way am I excusing a dental visit, those are very important too. But to avoid long term problems I feel that remineralization and diet are the two main key components to maintaining strong teeth. So no matter how much you floss or brush these two components are essential for maintaining good oral hygiene. Believe me I've read and done it all in regards to natural diy toothpaste to commercial toothpaste in the past. I've priced around other products in the past and this company is by far the least expensive. The quality of the product is exceptional too. I use the cinnamon flavor toothpaste but they carry a variety of products from regular toothpaste (which remineralizes too), whitening toothpaste, mouthwashes and remineralization powders.
Now I do have to warn you, if you are new to this process, Uncle Harry's toothpaste will not look the same as an ordinary conventional big brand toothpaste. Conventional toothpastes are laced with chemicals and they add toxic whitening agents for it to look more appealing. Uncle Harry's toothpaste is gray in appearance when you open the jar. I know they always say gray is so unappealing, especially in the culinary industry, because we process things with our eyes first. But trust me, you get over it once you brush. Also the smell is subtle, not overpowering, which I was surprised since it is infused with essential oils. But you can definitely taste them, it does zing you as soon as you start brushing, but in a good way (not sure if that helps lol). So I of course had my husband try it too and he absolutely loved it. He doesn't want to use another brand. He said his mouth feels so clean and fresh. By the way, he hates going to the dentist too. Because of this he is so picky on products he uses to maintain his teeth. (Subscribe to my blog, I'll be posting the water picks we love to use too, soon!) I noticed that the texture of the paste is slightly gritty at first (but it somehow disappears) and you can definitely taste the sea salt, at least in mine, but it's not terrible. The paste is thick because they use bentonite clay for the base. It is blended with essential oils that are antiseptic. That makes it possible for you to dip your toothbrush in the jar without worrying about contamination. So as a recap there is definitely some adjusting to the paste (a little goes a long way) and flavor if you were using conventional toothpaste before. The taste will be stronger and the texture is very different (just a little heads up).

When you use Uncle Harry's toothpaste, they recommend you brush for at least 1 to 2 minutes, then rinse. Repeat two times a day. It really does leave your mouth refreshed and lets not forget the remineralization process too (hands clapping) that is taking effect. By far Uncle Harry's toothpaste not only is convenient (comes in a small glass jar), but it really is a fantastic product! I honestly feel my teeth are getting a "spa treatment" every time I brush.
